Release 11.2
Digpro continues to support business processes for the most vital parts of our society: telecom, power, water, gas and heating. With Release 11.0, the long-term commitment to use digitalization and automatization for a smart society, is evident.
Digpro launches Release 11.2
In Digpro’s Release 11.2, the primary focus has been to continue delivering solutions that address today’s major trends: the energy transition, digitalization, automation and security. This release also includes targeted enhancements to dpWater.
Products
dpPower
Short-term forecasting was a new feature in release 11.0. Short-term forecasting is an electrical network state estimation and load flow forecasting module, developed under Digpro’s Energy Transition Initiative. It predicts the electrical network state from the present up to two days ahead by combining the network model data, customer load profiles, real-time station measurements, and weather data. This enhances operator visibility into the network. In release 11.2 it’s been enhanced further.
- Forecast visualization on both maps and summary displays.
- Bipartition of the time series into one weekday and one weekend time series producing two forecasts.
Station (Network) Meter Support
- The Measurement Point (MP) is now the central object for managing SCADA, meter data historical and real-time data.
- Station meters can store 15-minute or hourly 4-quadrant data (e.g., transformer readings).
- Meters placed on the secondary side of transformers represent downstream loads and exclude further aggregation.
Live Measurements Module
- The latest measurements from primary and secondary stations are displayed on maps and updates automatically.
- Outdated readings are visually marked with strikethrough formatting based on data timeout settings. Once the value is updated again, the formatting reverts.
- Historical data can be viewed in charts.
Automatic Load Profile Generation
- Support for automatically generated or updated individual load profiles, if required data (e.g., temperature sets) is available.
Enhanced Meter Data Import
- End-customer meter values in 15-minute or in hourly intervals can now be imported.
dpCom
- Streamlined service creation – UX improvements for creating connections and services, including significantly fewer clicks and no need to manually copy the Service ID when assigning one service to multiple connections.
- Simplified subtype change – Change subtype is now a single menu option, making the process faster and more user-friendly.
- Enhanced node content view – Better visibility and management of cable groups within the node content view.
- Improved handling of connections and services – Adding a connection and a service to a link has been separated into two distinct functions. When a service is created, a connection is automatically created as well. Enhanced trace reports.
- Improved performance, naming, and support for splitters in passive equipment.
dpWater
Release 11.2 introduces several enhancements and new features across various components of dpWater, particularly focusing on water networks, risk management, customer communication, and usability improvements.
Water Network Improvements
- Supplementary tracing now supports scenarios where a valve cannot be closed, allowing continued tracing and object listing without replacing previous results.
- Editing tools now support copying entire service lines (with connected objects) and moving objects with connections.
- New service point component enables the creation of a Service Map by collecting key attributes into one form for plotting.
- New tracing and customer visibility tools help to identify affected users faster during outages or maintenance.
Forms & Data Management
- Attribute improvements include new construction type fields and updated forms for inspection data.
- Station profile adjustments improve how breakpoint elevations are calculated using attribute values.
Risk Management
- Risk tools now support additional consequence parameters like „More than 100 users” and „Recurring disruption.”
- Query and calculation tools can now limit scope to only selected objects or areas, improving flexibility.
TV Inspections
- Users can now view camera positions on the map during video playback.
dpWebmap and Organizer
- Support for complex line styles and global map templates.
- Stormwater drain creation is now possible in Organizer Webmap.
Outage Map, OMM, and Notifications
- Notifications (Core Announcement) can now be sent directly from the customer list. They will be based on service points saved in the object list. It’s possible to display the total number of affected users if the user count is linked to subscriptions.
dpHeating
- Route profile now includes an elevation axis. Additionally, line labels for included lines are shown. The label is sourced from the attribute GTEXT1 in the code list for cables or pipes. It is also possible to configure a different attribute from the code list based on customer-specific needs.
- Map templates – As an administrator, you can create map templates in the desktop client for map products, which can then be used in dpWebmap.
dpGas
For dpGas, the following is included in the new release:
- Two new objects have been added: Damage and Damage Indication. They are placed with a link to a gas pipeline.
- Compressed air – In release 11.2, the model has been expanded to include the objects Dimension Change, General Node, and Transition Piece.
Modules
Process Automation
- Event sub-processes can now be modelled within a main process in Workflow Studio. Sub-processes can be interrupting—halting the main process—or non-interrupting. It can be very useful in cases like Nätkollen where cancellations can occur.
Organizer
- Searches can now be saved in the south panel in Organizer. Searches are saved per user, and each user can have multiple saved searches that can be loaded for easier access, such as My inspection tasks or Investments 2025.
- The interface for the Message tab in the activity form has been updated to resemble a modern chat service.
- There are many improvements designed to make users’ work smoother and more efficient.
Maintainer
- A configuration overview has been added to Maintainer. This centralized view makes onboarding easier and helps users manage and review existing settings more efficiently. The overview displays what can be configured and what is already set. Each section includes brief descriptions, and visibility can be controlled at the organizational level.
Operator
A series of new enhancements have been introduced to improve operational efficiency and customer communication. These updates include:
- When ending an outage, users are notified of remaining temporary objects. To make it more user-friendly the objects can be deleted directly from the info dialog via the right-click menu.
- The function for automatically selecting devices to open based on actual or normal state has been improved. It’s now only including switches that disconnect the network.
- Several performance enhancements in Operator have been implemented in release 11.2.
- Operator order – Several enhancements in usability, including some performance enhancements.
- Real time – The station field now highlights potential common causes by considering observations within substations. When two or more outages, including observations, are registered under the same secondary substation, the user will get an indication of a possible common cause.
- dpWebmap work request – Two new work request states have been added: Previewed—to indicate a quick initial review, and Amended—to signal that requested changes have been made.
- Core Announcement – For dpPower users, the PDF used for mail announcements has been redesigned for a cleaner, more customizable look.
- Auto Announcement – Automatic announcements can now be triggered when a work request changes state, improving efficiency and reducing manual follow-up in dpWebmap.
Localizations
- FASIT-related functions (dpPower) have been improved for a better overview, usability, and data validation. This is mainly for the Norwegian market.
- ÖFF-XML – support for the new format from Lantmäteriet. This is for the Swedish market.
Digpro Platform dpSpatial
Release 11.2 introduces a range of enhancements aimed at improving the user experience. This includes significant UI/UX updates for both mobile and desktop clients, as well as numerous minor improvements.
- dpWebmap dark mode – The user interface for mobile solutions in dpWebmap can now be used in dark mode. When using dark mode, you can now enable complementary colors in the schematic map to enhance contrast.
- Quick view now displays the number of linked documents and database documents for the selected object, helping users quickly see whether any documents are available.
- Form administration – Users with the appropriate role can now manage which sections are visible in forms. When enabled, all forms open in admin mode, allowing users to hide sections as needed. Hidden sections are listed in the settings window for easy reference.
- A new option has been added to the pointer tool for selecting objects from the saved object list. This allows users to collect objects first and select them later with a single action.
