Partel, a local fiber provider in Pargas, Finland, has chosen Digpro’s network information system (NIS) dpCom to strengthen the planning and operation of its fiber network and to prepare for future demands on telecom operators.
“With dpCom, we have now selected a system that enables us to build the digital twin expected of a modern telecom operator. At the same time, we gain a fully integrated and mobile workflow engine that streamlines our work and saves us significant costs,” says Svante Olofsson, CEO of Partel.
dpCom, a GIS-based network information system, makes it possible to create a digital twin of the fiber network, giving operators like Partel better control, more efficient planning, and optimized workflows. The system also includes mobile access for field staff, who can update network information in real time — a feature that is particularly valuable for operations with geographically distributed installations.
“We are pleased to welcome Partel as a new dpCom customer. With our platform, they gain a future-proof solution that supports the entire network lifecycle, from planning and design to operations,” says Jonas Vestin, CEO of Digpro.
Digpro continues to strengthen its position as a reliable partner for fiber operators in Sweden and internationally. Today, dpCom is used by a growing customer base seeking efficient and future-proof solutions for their networks.
About Partel
Partel has a long history: the company was founded in 1894 as Pargas Telephone Association and has evolved alongside technological and digital transformation. In 2021, the last copper network was decommissioned, and since then Partel has exclusively built fiber networks. The expansion of the optical fiber network began as early as 2008, and in 2020 a fiber support project was carried out in collaboration with the Finnish government and the City of Pargas — increasing access to high-speed internet in rural areas and the archipelago.
